RN Medicine Specialty
Overview
- Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Responsible for assigned patients, including documentation, medication administration, IV infusions and blood products, patient/family communication, coordination of care, and delegation to support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program
- Charge experience preferred
Additional Notes
- Some computer skills are needed
- Strong communication, organization, coordination, and interpersonal skills are expected
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors is required
