Description

Radiology Technologist

Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Variable day shift
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview

This acute care radiology technologist role performs X-ray and related imaging procedures to support diagnosis and treatment in a busy hospital setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Montana
  • Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic exams requested by healthcare providers
  • Perform fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with radiology providers
  • Perform ultrasound-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis with radiology providers
  • Assist with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements
  • Perform C-arm fluoroscopy exams in the OR as requested by surgeons
  • Provide patient education for procedure preparation and post-care
  • Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
  • Support quality improvement efforts and educate students, new hires, and other radiology technologists

Work Conditions

  • May require on-call availability
  • May involve extended hours, weekends, and after-hours shifts
  • Must be able to lift and support up to 50 pounds
  • May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations

Scheduling Note

The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or other unforeseen circumstances.
