Pediatric OR RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

  • Location: Oakland, California
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 10 weeks
  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
  • Start times: 6:45 or 8:45
  • Schedule: Variable shifts based on department need; Monday–Friday with occasional weekends
  • Floating: Ability to float to other UCSF facilities

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience
  • Ambulatory Surgery experience
  • Pediatric CVOR experience
  • Trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNOR
  • Ambulatory OR experience
  • CVOR experience
  • General OR experience
  • Pediatric CVOR experience
  • Trauma experience

Additional Hiring Requirements

  • Current and valid driver’s license, government photo ID, or U.S. passport matching the professional license
  • Two supervisory references
  • Updated resume covering the last 7 years of work history, with gaps of 30 days or more explained
  • Unit-specific skills checklist
  • 7 years of work history verification
  • Background check and required pre-start screenings
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask testing within 1 year of start
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start
  • TB screening documentation within 30 days of start
  • Immunization/documentation requirements for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap, and flu season compliance
  • Required onboarding modules, quizzes, and competency testing before or during orientation
  • Ability to complete facility-specific compliance forms and training acknowledgements before start
