Description
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Certifications
- BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider)
- Operating Room Nursing Course OR
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification within 6 months of hire
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital
- At least 2 years of Peri-Operative Services experience in one or more of the following:
- Operating Room (OR)
- Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Same Day Surgery
- Leadership experience including either:
- 1 year as a Nurse Manager, OR
- 2 years as a full-scope Nursing Supervisor overseeing professional nursing staff
- Leadership responsibilities must include:
- Hiring
- Performance evaluations
- Employee discipline and counseling
- Daily operational oversight
- Leadership and clinical experience may be concurrent
Education
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following:
- Nursing
- Business Administration
- Healthcare Administration
- Other closely related field
