Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Dothan, Alabama
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 48
- Schedule notes: Every other weekend required; no floating
Role Highlights
- Labor and delivery role with OB triage experience highly preferred
- Patient population includes labor, antepartum patients from 27 weeks, PIH patients receiving magnesium, and preterm labor patients
- Unit responsibilities include NST, continuous fetal monitoring, fetal scalp electrode placement, IV starts, amnioinfusion, assisting anesthesia during epidural placement, and attending C-sections without scrubbing
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- OB triage experience
