Job Overview
- Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift options: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Schedule notes: Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required; travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
- Unit type: Medical-surgical/telemetry post-op unit with Level III trauma and medical-surgical overflow as census permits
Clinical Setting
- Post-operative care for orthopedic, spinal surgery, bariatric, and colorectal surgery patients
- Unit can monitor up to 8 telemetry patients
- Typical patient ratio is 1:7
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience with Epic
Required Certifications
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Submission Requirements
- Completed Qualivis Cover Sheet
- Current NURSYS report
- All requested time off listed on the Qualivis Cover Sheet
