Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
Clinical Expectations
- Float within a 60-mile zone across multiple facilities
- May be assigned to medical-surgical telemetry, ICU low-acuity holds, PCU/stepdown, or other acuity levels as needed
- Heparin titration required
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6 based on acuity
Scheduling
- Schedule is released 4–6 weeks in advance
- 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- May be asked to work holidays
- Rare call/standby requirement
Interview Process
- Interview with the clinical team
Additional Notes
- Travelers are responsible for securing housing that allows them to float throughout the full 60-mile zone
- Must be in state for orientation week
- No home base facility
