General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
- Number of Beds – 80-100 daily
- Number of Staff – 37 RNs (FT/PT/PRN)
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift (07-173) – 2 CHARGE RNs, 1 resource RN, 2 MAs, 16-19 RNs taking patient assignments
- Patient Ratios – 1:6- less if higher acuity patients
- Type of equipment – Baxter IV pumps, ICU medical chemo adapters
- EMR – Meditech and Onco
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Minimum 1-year current BMT Oncology Hospital acute care experience
- BLS & ACLS
- ONS Certification
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- BMT/HemOnc experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
- Chemotherapy administration
- Central Line draws
