Job Overview
- Location: Rochester, New York
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 4x12 hours
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Locals: Must live within 75 miles
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Setting
- Intermediate care / step-down unit
- Adult acute care patients
- 26 beds
- Continuous pulse oximetry and telemetry monitoring
- Patients may require airway management, acute BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions
Key Skills
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Rapid Response / Code team support
- Peripheral line care and management
- Oxygen and non-invasive airway support
- Isolation precautions
Additional Notes
- EPIC experience is required
- Scrub color: any combination of navy and white
