Overview
- Float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units, including forensics and inpatient units.
- Must be comfortable working with the prison population.
- Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate.
- September-start contracts are expected to extend into the new year for holiday coverage.
- Nurses on September-start contracts are expected to work 3 of 6 designated holidays, based on holiday group assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- CPI or MAB
- SANE / Forensic experience
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card or SSN for system access
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- 2 clinical references
- Background check
- Physical exam
- Fit test
- Tdap vaccination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- 9-panel drug screen
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- Completion of required onboarding documents and facility modules before start
