RN (Registered Nurse)

  • Centennial, Colorado

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • 2 years of MS-Tele experience

Experience Preferences

  • Prior neuro experience preferred

Schedule

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Schedule is released 4–6 weeks in advance
  • 6–9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • May be asked to go into the holiday rotation
  • Rare call/standby for low census

Clinical Setting

  • Adult and geriatric patients
  • Floating across multiple units, including general MS-Tele and specialties such as cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatrics, ortho, trauma, and ED observation
  • May float to ICU for low-acuity holds, PCU/stepdown, and MS-Tele
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6 based on acuity
  • Heparin titration required
  • Nurse aides available
  • RT equipment available

Floating Expectations

  • Must float within Zone 3
  • Floating may occur across a 60-mile radius from the zone’s city center
  • No home base facility
  • Traveler is responsible for housing that makes floating feasible

Orientation

  • 1–2 days with a preceptor
  • Must be in state for the week of orientation

Additional Notes

  • Candidate interview is with the MedSol Clinical Team
  • Travelers are expected to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
  • Time-off requests must be submitted before the assignment starts
  • Cannot miss more than 3 shifts in the 13-week contract
  • 2 weeks’ notice is required to avoid a back-out penalty fee
  • Scrub color: any color
