ICU Registered Nurse
Location
- Chandler, Arizona
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license or compact license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- 3 years of current ICU experience
- ICU experience must include either neuro or cardiovascular experience
Schedule
- Every other weekend required, with the possibility of up to 3 weekends per month if needed
- May have 1 holiday off during the assignment
- Self-scheduling is available, with manager adjustment as needed
Assignment Details
- ICU setting with medical, cardiac, overflow, and surgical/trauma/neuro cases
- May float to telemetry and between ICU units as needed
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam before acceptance, with up to 2 attempts
- Pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
- Orientation is 1–2 days
- Navy scrubs required
Additional Notes
- Charge nurse does not take patients
- No monitor techs on the unit; nurses interpret their own strips
- No additional call or standby shifts required
- May be low censused up to 3 times during the contract
- TNCC is preferred
