Role Summary

Diagnostic imaging role providing patient imaging services, with advanced work in X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
• ARRT (R)
• Radiologic Technologist experience
• CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist
• Cross-trained into other modalities, including CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography
• Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols set with the Radiologist
• Practice radiation safety and ALARA standards
• Operate equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and call a service engineer when outside maintenance is needed
• Verify exam orders, identify patients using two identifiers, and provide exam education
• Review and document patient medical history, obtain informed consent, and ensure required paperwork and prior studies are complete before Radiologist interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR, including charging for procedures and supplies
• Assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, and take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required
• Assist, train, or cross-train imaging staff members as directed
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory
