Compensation & Benefits:

  • Weekly Stipend: $402.82

Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at Parkland Health as a Cath Lab Tech and utilize your expertise in cardiovascular procedures. In this role, you will conduct advanced examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology. Your leadership skills will be vital as you serve as a resource and guide to medical and clinical staff, ensuring optimal team collaboration and patient care.

You will assist with patient preparation, including identification, draping, and equipment setup, while reading and interpreting physician orders to facilitate procedures compliant with healthcare standards. Maintaining and calibrating specialized equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all devices operate optimally are key responsibilities to deliver high-quality, safe patient experiences.

You will stay informed about the latest in cardiovascular technology through ongoing education and industry engagement, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in cardiovascular imaging, catheterization, or electrophysiology procedures.
  • Strong technical skills with equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional patient care acumen, with the ability to assist in patient preparation and comfort.
  • Leadership qualities to serve as a resource for team members and support procedural efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with physicians and staff.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in Cardiovascular Crediting, Radiologic Technology, or equivalent (e.g., RCIS, RCES).
  • Prior experience in a hospital setting, specifically in a cardiac catheterization lab or electrophysiology.

Certifications & Licenses (Must Have):

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent certification.
  • Current Texas licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or applicable state license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
