Facility: Atrium Health Union West
Shift: Mon-Thurs 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM
Start Date: 12/22/2025
Assignment Length: 13.0 weeks
Scheduled End Date: 03/21/2026
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekly Stipend: $1,477.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,452.80
Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at Atrium Health Union West as a CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality, providing essential imaging services across various hospital departments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume, trauma-designated teaching hospital recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. You will perform diverse diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT and general radiography, contributing to patient care in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

- Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles outside of the home unit
Department Information:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
- First-time traveler accepted
- Exposure to a variety of diagnoses across ED, inpatient, and outpatient care
Required Certifications & Licenses:
- All modalities require photo ID (collected during compliance)
- BLS certification is mandatory for all staff
- ARRT Registered (R) for Radiologic Technologists
- ARRT (R)(CT) for CT Technicians
- ARRT (R)(CT) and BLS for Dual Modality CT/Diagnostic Techs
- ARRT (R) or NMTCB, ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT for MRI Techs
- ARDMS or ARRT for US Techs
- ARRT-N or NMTCB for Nuclear Med Techs
Skills & Qualifications:
- Vary based on modality; specific skills discussed during interview
- Ability to adapt quickly to different equipment and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and patient-centered approach
Support & Equipment:
- Support from nursing and transport teams
- EMR: EPIC
- Department-specific Equipment: Siemens, GE
Floating:
- Not applicable
Orientation:
- NEO online courses
- 3-5 days of departmental training, depending on modality
Scheduling & Expectations:
- Weekend rotations and call requirements vary by modality (discussed during interview)
- Holiday work expected at 75% of holidays
- RTO approval required from manager
- Shift times vary as per modality, listed on e-form request
- Rotation cycle: every 4 weeks

What You Bring:
- Valid ARRT(R) certification (or equivalent) based on modality
- BLS certification required for all candidates
- At least 1 year of relevant imaging experience
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments and multiple patient diagnoses
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekend rotations
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in a trauma or emergency setting is advantageous
- Experience with multiple modalities including CT, MRI, US, or Nuclear Med is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of department-specific equipment (Siemens, GE)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team-oriented environment
