Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Experienced registered nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care are sought for an exciting contract assignment. This opportunity suits motivated clinicians ready to deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care, supporting cardiac surgical teams in a fast-paced hospital environment. Your expertise in CVOR procedures will make a direct impact on patient outcomes, ensuring safety and excellence throughout the surgical process.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience as a CVOR RN
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
  • Proficiency in maintaining a sterile field and adhering to infection control standards
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams as scrub or circulating nurse in the CVOR
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functional
  • Monitor patient vital signs, respond promptly to changes, and document all interventions
  • Collaborate closely with surgical, anesthesia, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere strictly to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and quality standards

$2,211 - $2,419/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
