POSITION: RN – PCU (Pulmonary/GI)
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Shift hours: 3x12s, 645p-715a
• Charting: Epic experience required
• May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission.
• Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks.
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes, locals accepted. Refer to Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.
• Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
========================
• Experience with PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown settings
• Cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support: nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
• Use of rapid response/code teams and isolation precautions
UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: 1:5
• Patient Population & Unit Details: Serves adults and geriatrics. The unit has a daily census of 27.
• Hospitalist PCU with primary Pulmonary/GI. No vents on this unit. May work without CNA support.
• Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
