SCHEDULING DETAILS

• Shift Details: 3x12s, 7p-7a

• Charting: EPIC experience required

• Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block

• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: No. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria

• Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license

• RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission

• Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
=========================
• ACLS, BLS
Preferred-NIHSS, CCRN

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
=========================
• IV therapy: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, IV initiation & maintenance

• Respiratory support: Assist with Chest Tube insertion/removal. BiPAP & CPAP management, ventilated patient care, Pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism

• Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency meds, titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips

• Endocrine/metabolic: IV insulin protocol adherence

• ICU Experience

• Prefer Candidates with 2+ years experience

UNIT DETAILS

• ICU average ratio: 2:1

12-bed CCU. Variety of medical and surgical patients. Examples: Respiratory Failures, PNA, COPD exacerbations, DKA, Vascular and General Surgery patients, Chest pain, Encephalopathies, Drug Overdoses, Renal Failure, Sepsis.
Need a nurse who can manage ventilator patients, A Lines, multiple drips, pressure support, assist MD at the bedside with procedures.

• Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
