Intermediate care unit focused on caring for pulmonary, cardiac and trauma patients.
• Population consists of patients needing advanced airway management, including those with tracheostomies and on ventilators, high flow O2, or BIPAP, those on various cardiac drips, and/or with chest tubes and Zephyr Valves.
• This patient population range from acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, CHF, Rule out MI, post MI, new onset/Unstable Angina, Pericardial disease, Cardiac drug toxicity, suspected Pacemaker/ICD malfunction, Post ICD/Pacemaker insertion, Pre/post Therapeutic Catheterization, Dysrhythmias and patients requiring administration of select continuous infusion of cardiac medications or oral drug therapy for Dysrhythmias.
• This unit also includes med/surg overflow.

- The Flu vaccine is required during flu season. (Oct 1st - Mar 31st).
- If your traveler is requesting a religious or medical Flu exemption, it will be the responsibility of the agency to ensure the traveler’s request complies with CMS guidelines. Qualivis will review/approve each request with supporting documentation.
