Description
Position/Specialty: CT Tech
The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the manager of CT. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs high quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from infant through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician
Shift: 3x12s, Fri-Sun 6p-6:30a
Is on-call REQ? Yes, on call rotation M-Th among all technologists

Required/Preferred
Years of experience REQ: 1 year
First-timers accepted: Yes
National Certs REQ: BLS, ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT)
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT), as well as Computed Tomography and South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS also required.
Minimum Training and Education: Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology or a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation.
Pending State License accepted: OK to sub with license pending, but must have in hand at the time of start
Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers
Special Requirements: We perform inpatient, ER and scheduled interventional cases. Required skills: be able to start IV, Contrast, Biopsies, PACS system.

Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate
RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs
Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
