Travel Med-Surg RN (Variable Shift) | Hawaii

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a Medical-Surgical unit, providing direct patient care for adult patients in an acute care hospital setting.

Assignment Details:
Location: Hawaii
Shift: Variable (Day or Night shifts, 12-hour shifts)
Schedule: 36 hours/week after first week of orientation (15-week contract)
Engagement Type: Travel contract

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care for adult medical-surgical patients
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units as needed
Utilize EMR systems and unit-specific equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes

Clinical Scope:
Acute care Med-Surg unit serving adult patients
May float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units based on staffing needs
Exposure to varied patient acuity levels within inpatient medical settings

Requirements (Must-Have):
Active Hawaii RN License (must be obtained prior to start date)
Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg or higher-level acute care experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred

Floating:
Required to float to surgical pediatrics and transitional care units as needed

Work Environment:
Acute care hospital environment with variable staffing needs and flexible scheduling requirements

Patient Ratios:
Medical Unit: 1:5
(Ratios may vary based on census and staffing conditions)

Additional Requirements:
Must be flexible with shift assignments (day/night)
No guarantee of shift preference or fixed schedule
Must complete employee health requirements prior to start
Arrival required prior to onboarding schedule for compliance clearance
