Description
Seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The role involves providing care to critically ill patients across a broad age population, following established AACN standards and clinical protocols.
Assignment Details:
Location: State College, PA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (18:45 – 07:15)
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday (EOH)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
Manage life-threatening conditions and complications
Maintain airway, ventilation, and hemodynamic stability
Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and emergencies
Administer medications and interventions per protocol
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
Clinical Scope:
Care for pediatric through geriatric patients
Work in alignment with AACN Critical Care Standards
Participate in patient transport and advanced procedures (as needed)
Requirements (Must-Have):
Active RN License (state-specific or compact)
BLS Certification
Recent Critical Care / ICU experience
Strong competency in emergency response and cardiac monitoring
Preferred:
Experience with EPIC EMR systems
Familiarity with advanced critical care equipment and protocols"
