Traveler Position: XR/CT Technologist, Weekend Nights
We are seeking an experienced XR/CT Traveler to support our Diagnostic Imaging Department on weekend nights. This traveler will be responsible for covering both X-Ray and CT modalities while on shift and must be comfortable working independently in a rural hospital environment.

Position Summary
- The XR/CT Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury. This position will support the mission and values of Pagosa Springs Medical Center while providing high-quality imaging services, maintaining patient safety, and working collaboratively with providers, radiologists, patients, families, and other hospital departments.
- The traveler selected for this assignment must be able to independently cover both XR and CT while on shift, including general radiography, CT imaging, patient positioning, contrast-related procedures within scope, image evaluation, documentation, and coordination with ordering providers and radiologists.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Current ARRT Radiography registry
- Current ARRT CT registry
- Current AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers
- Experience performing both X-Ray and CT exams
- Ability to work independently during weekend night shifts
- Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic health records
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Three or more years of clinical imaging experience
- Cerner experience required

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior rural hospital, critical access hospital, or emergency imaging experience

Essential Responsibilities
- Perform quality X-Ray and CT imaging using proper positioning, technique, and protocols
- Cover both XR and CT modalities while on shift
- Review provider orders for appropriateness and communicate with providers as needed
- Administer contrast according to site-specific protocols and within scope of practice
- Complete required CT contrast consent documentation when applicable
- Evaluate images for technical quality
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, and team members
- Follow radiation safety practices and use appropriate protective equipment
- Transport and assist patients safely, including use of wheelchairs, stretchers, and hospital beds
- Complete documentation accurately in the electronic health record
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals and use at least two patient identifiers
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all PSMC policies and procedures
- Assist providers, other departments, and hospital staff as needed

Work Environment
This position is performed in a hospital setting and may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, communicable disease, radiation, chemicals, hazardous materials, stressful situations, frequent interruptions, and the physical demands associated with positioning, lifting, and transporting patients and equipment.
