Description

-Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.
· Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.

-General Job duties: Flex Rn Floats between various medical and surgical units

-Shift or schedule requirements: 12-hour shifts - Days (0645 to 1915) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

-Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Meditech EMR; pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.

-Required skills and minimum years of experience: 2-10 years’ experience

-Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required: BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)

-Floating to other units/departments: Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)

-Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: Medical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15

-Nurse to patient ratio of this unit:
Medical 1:6 for days and eves, 1:8 for nights
Laulima 1:6
Cardiovascular 1:4
Ratio may vary due to unexpected leaves

-Dress Code: Professional nursing attire - clean scrubs
