    $Hospital-Job Description – CT Technologist (Travel) Position: CT Technologist Facility: Heywood Hospital Health System: Heywood Healthcare Location: Gardner, Massachusetts Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Schedule: Flexible 10-hour shifts (40 hours guaranteed/week) Shifts: First and Second Shift coverage as needed, including weekends and holidays EMR: Meditech Job Summary Heywood Hospital is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CT equipment, administering contrast when appropriate, positioning patients, and producing diagnostic-quality images while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and radiation protection. Candidates must be flexible to work 10-hour shifts, provide first and second shift coverage, and rotate between both hospital sites as needed, including weekends and holidays. Key Responsibilities Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols. Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures. Administer contrast media following facility protocols and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam documentation. Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission to the radiologist. Enter patient information, imaging documentation, and charges into the Meditech EMR system. Maintain CT equipment, perform routine quality assurance checks, and report equipment issues as needed. Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care. Maintain a safe environment for patients by following hospital safety policies and preventing falls and injuries. Respond appropriately to emergency situations while providing compassionate patient care. Assist with scheduling and maintaining efficient patient workflow. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience (at least 1 year of recent CT experience required). Active Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MA DPH) Radiology License. Current ARRT (R) certification. ARRT (CT) certification preferred (required within two years of hire). Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, radiation safety, and patient positioning. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing CT imaging on Toshiba CT scanners. Previous experience using Meditech EMR.     Job Summary
