Description

Seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Room RN for a 13-week hospital assignment at a busy Pediatric Emergency Center. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled RN who is comfortable caring for pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Schedule:
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Night shifts
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Traveler position
• 13-week assignment: September 21 – December 19, 2026

Responsibilities:
• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency setting
• Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Prioritize care based on patient acuity and emergency needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
• Perform appropriate nursing skills based on the pediatric patient population
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the EMR
• Respond appropriately to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergency situations
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment

Requirements:
• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact/multistate RN license
• BLS certification through AHA
• PALS certification
• EPIC experience required
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Pediatric Emergency Department

Preferred:
• Previous Pediatric Emergency Room/ED experience
• Pediatric nursing experience
• Experience caring for patients across different pediatric age groups

• Location: Yale Campus – Trauma Tower, Tulsa, OK
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Hospital-based emergency department

Patterns Hiring Job ID #430. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
