Position: Cath Lab Technologist (Travel)
Location: Parkland Health – Cardiac Labs, Dallas, TX
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: July 29, 2026
Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts (40 hours guaranteed/week)
On-Call: Rotating after-hours call with required Sunday rotation (must be able to report within 30 minutes)

Job Summary
Parkland Health is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join its Cardiac Labs team for a 13-week travel assignment. The technologist will assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining a safe and efficient procedural environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in Cath/EP procedures, equipment operation, and sterile technique, and thrives in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile fields prior to each case.
Verify physician orders, review procedure protocols, and ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available.
Prepare, position, drape, and monitor patients throughout procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the procedural team to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate Cath Lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Participate in Universal Protocol, patient identification, and site verification processes.
Monitor equipment functionality and document preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff by assisting with equipment operation and procedural workflow.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology.
Take rotating after-hours call, including required Sunday call coverage.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), or Special Procedures.
Active ARRT or RCIS certification.
Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License.
Current AHA BLS certification.
Current AHA ACLS certification.
Must disclose any previous employment with Parkland Health.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab.
Critical care experience (ICU, ED, or similar acute care setting).
Previous travel assignment experience.
