Seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week assignment supporting cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations.
Position Highlights:
• Choose either 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts at time of offer
• Weekend coverage every 4 weeks
• On-call 1–2 nights per week as needed
• Cerner EMR; transition to Epic underway
• Personal scrubs of any color (no designs or cartoons; no hoodies)
• Own vehicle required
Key Duties:
• Monitor patient hemodynamics throughout procedures
• Assist physicians with cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Administer conscious sedation and manage IV infusions and boluses
• Interpret EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Support patient positioning, immobilization, and Phase I recovery
Requirements:
✔ 2+ years of current Cath Lab experience
✔ 2+ years of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedure experience
✔ Cath and peripheral experience, including STEMI and STEMI call
✔ Conscious sedation and IV experience
✔ Proficiency interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings
✔ Active New York RN license
✔ BLS and ACLS
✔ Moderate Sedation certification highly preferred
✔ Electrophysiology (EP) experience highly preferred
Additional Details:
• Up to 5 days of requested time off; all RTO must be submitted upfront
• Travelers with permanent addresses in certain nearby New York counties are not eligible.
