Weekly Pay Range: $1,901.88 – $2,237.50 / week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown Registered Nurse for an 8-week travel contract in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will deliver continuous, high-acuity care to complex patients—including those with cardiac conditions, heart failure, post-cardiac procedures, and dysrhythmias—requiring continuous telemetry monitoring and intensive interventions within a Level I Trauma environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, continuous telemetry monitoring, and ECG rhythm interpretation.
• Deliver complex care and life-saving interventions for patients recovering from surgery or managing life-threatening medical conditions.
• Manage post-cardiac procedure care, heart failure protocols, and end-of-life care as required.
• Maintain complete commitment to fulfilling the full 8-week contract length.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Active, unrestricted California RN License.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry RN experience in a metropolitan Level I Trauma institution.
• Certifications:
  • AHA BLS
  • NIHSS Certification
  • MAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) or CPI
  • LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City specific)
• Onboarding Clearances: Must complete LA County Employee Health Clearance and on-site Live Scan fingerprinting prior to starting.
