NuWest Travel Nursing & Allied Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA)  to join a healthcare team in an Occupational Health setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys a collaborative environment, preventative care, employee wellness, and treating work-related injuries and illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational health services to employees and/or patients.
• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Perform physical examinations, health assessments, and follow-up evaluations.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate appropriate care.
• Manage return-to-work and work-restriction recommendations.
• Perform pre-employment and occupational health examinations as needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory results.
• Provide health education, counseling, and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, employers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow OSHA, state, facility, and organizational requirements related to occupational health.
• Promote a safe, compliant, and patient-centered environment.

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
• National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current BLS certification.
• Occupational Health, Urgent Care, Family Practice, or related clinical experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
