Position Overview

NuWest is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in a post-acute care setting with long-term care, skilled nursing, rehab, and short-term stay units. The ideal candidate is flexible, comfortable floating to all units, and skilled in caring for patients with complex wound, tube, and catheter care needs. Overtime is not offered on this assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to long-term, short-term, and rehab patients, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
• Perform wound care, including wound vacs, and stoma care, including ileostomy and colostomy
• Manage feeding tubes (PEG, J-tube, G-tube), tube feed pumps, and Foley catheters
• Provide basic tracheostomy care (no ventilator care)
• Administer IV fluids and IV antibiotics and manage IV pumps
• Float to all units as needed, including Rehab, SNF, LTAC, LTC, and Short Term Stay
• Provide patient and family education and communicate changes in condition to the provider
• Document care accurately and follow infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license, in good standing and free of disciplinary action
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a LTC, SNF, LTAC, or rehab setting
• Current BLS/CPR
• Comfortable floating to all units
• Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening
