Summary:

Junxion Med Staffing is looking for a ICU RN to take an assignment in Odessa, Texas.


This assignment lasts 13.14 WEEKS and is scheduled to start on April 21, 2026.

**Required Certifications and Education:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TCAR - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - 6 hours of Stroke education (can be provided if needed) - EKG course completion (can be provided if needed) **Preferred Experience:** - Previous charge experience - Community hospital experience - Trauma Level II experience - Cerner charting system experience **Required Experience:** - 2 years of experience - Travel experience required **Skills:** - Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring - Post Cardiac Surgery (not directly from the OR), Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Phlebotomy, Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention - IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure - Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management - PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade - Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management - External ventricular drain (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Lumbar drains, Post Craniotomy - Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury - Assist with management of BiPAP, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance - Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Ventilator Management, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac **Patient Age Group Experience:** - Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics **Special Requirements:** - Must be willing to float to MS/Tele and ER (for CC holds) - Weekend coverage required **Additional Requirements:** - RTO required with submission - Resume - 1 year experience in profession - Cerner charting experience preferred Note: COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but flu vaccine is required with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed. Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted.
