**Years of Experience Required:** - 2 years of recent specialty experience required, with a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year **First-timers Accepted:** - No **Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) **Skills Required:** - MS/Tele, Telemetry - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Telemetry - on the unit monitoring - IV insulin protocols - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - Peripheral Line Care/Management - PICC line management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Heparin Protocols - PCA (Patient Controlled Analgesia) - Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-Evac - Oxygen administration - Non-invasive airway management - Isolation Precautions/PPE - Wound Care/Wound Vac **Skills Preferred:** - Cardiac Telemetry - ER Holding - Management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams - Feeding tube care and management - Renal failure - Accessing/Managing Ports - CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) - Ortho trauma - Total joint replacement - Surgical drains - Tracheostomy care/management **Leadership Experience:** - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred **Other Requirements:** - Trauma Level I Experience: Required - Travel Experience: Required **Licensure:** - Must have both Kansas and Missouri or compact licensure in hand at the time of submission **Reference Requirement:** - 2 references required; one must be at a supervisory level or above, and the second can be a charge RN, with both references from the past year **Compliance and Modules:** - Labs completed within 48-72 hours of signing - Pre-start modules are non-billable, with 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules - EPIC training module must be complete before start - Infusion Pump training and Glucometer training must be completed by the Sunday prior to the start date
