Junxion Med Staffing is looking for a PCU/Stepdown RN to take an assignment in Kansas City, Missouri.
This assignment lasts 13.14 WEEKS and is scheduled to start on June 15, 2026.

**RN/PCU Job Requirements and Qualifications:** - **Years of Experience Required:** 2 years of recent specialty experience required, with a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year. - **Certifications Required:** BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS, Compact License. - **Skills Required:** MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, feeding tube care and management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, epidural analgesia, PCA, surgical drains, chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/Wound Vac. - **Charting System Experience:** Experience with Epic is required. - **Patient Experience Required:** Experience with a patient ratio of 5 during days and nights, and treating patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with a daily census of 20. - **Floating Condition:** Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed. Candidates must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license at the time of submission. - **Work Schedule Requirements:** Must complete 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke's 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S. - **Other Requirements:** Pending license accepted, travel experience required, no locals accepted (home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility), RTO restrictions with a maximum of 7 days, and tenured policy requires 18 months with a 3-month break in service for all travel roles excluding interim leadership and RNFA roles. - **Reference Requirement:** 2 references required; one must be a supervisor-level or above, and the second can be a charge RN. All references must be from the past year. - **Drug Screening:** Candidates will be canceled if drug screen results are "diluted" or positive and cannot be cleared by the MRO, with a 6-month wait before re-applying. **Clinical Experience Requirements:** - Must have experience with patients who have undergone bariatric surgery, urology cases, hepatobiliary procedures, colorectal surgeries, and trauma patients. - Experience with advanced pain management techniques including Epidural, PCA, Ketamine drip, and/or lidocaine infusion. **Special Notes:** - Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed by the Sunday prior to start date. - Pre-start modules required (non-billable, 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules). - EPIC training options available for RNs, either the test-out option or completing the EPIC module.
