**Required Certifications:** - Radiologic Technology Certification (preferred) - Requires ARRT **Years of Experience:** - 1+ **Must Have Skills/Experience:** - Experience with Seimans 128 slice scanner **Preferred Skillset/Experience:** - CT registry is preferred **General Responsibilities and Skills:** - Performs imaging procedures - Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, acting as a patient advocate - Applies principles of radiation protection - Evaluates exams and procedures for technical quality - Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures - Provides excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion - Operates imaging and imaging-related equipment - Positions and immobilizes patients as necessary - Obtains clinical data and patient history for correlation with the exam - Practices radiation protection and applies ALARA and Image Gently principles - Selects technical factors and imaging mode - Evaluates images for quality and performs post-processing of images - Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during treatments and examinations - Practices aseptic technique as necessary - Maintains IV skills - Assists physicians, nursing units, and physician's offices in ordering exams and procedures appropriate to the needs and age of the patient, considering recent radiation exposure
