**Experience Required:** - 3 years of experience is required, though candidates with fewer years will be screened. - Previous charge experience is not specified as required. - Travel experience is required. - Trauma Level I and II experience is required. - Candidate must have experience with patient ratios of 4:1. **Certifications and Licensure:** - Active, unrestricted, Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license is required. - The following certifications are required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is preferred. **Skills Required:** - Basic pediatric skills are a hard stop requirement. - Experience with the following skills is required: abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial line management, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, burns (preferred), care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, continuous IV paralytics (preferred), continuous IV sedation, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), drug overdose, emergency medications, epiglottitis, general emergency department (adult/pediatrics combined preferred), gunshot wounds (preferred), head injury, hyperglycemia, ICP monitoring (preferred), neglect/abuse identification and reporting, infection, interpretation of ABGs (preferred), interpretation of dysrhythmias, intubation, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of dysrhythmias, management of multisystem organ failure (preferred), managing violent behavior, mental/behavioral health conditions, near drowning (preferred), neuro-trauma (preferred), obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, ortho trauma (preferred), pediatric emergency department, phlebotomy, poison ingestion, procedural sedation monitoring, psychiatric hold, respiratory infection, seizures, sickle cell crisis (preferred), skin disorders (preferred), spinal cord injury (preferred), starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI certified facility (preferred), stroke certified facility (preferred), suicidal patient, traumatic amputation (preferred), traumatic brain injury (preferred), triage, and urinary tract infection. **System Experience:** - Experience with the Cerner charting system is required/preferred. **Holiday and On-call Requirements:** - Candidates must be available to work two of the facility's recognized holidays. - There are no on-call requirements specified. **Miscellaneous Requirements:** - Candidates must be comfortable with floating without restrictions within the facility and to nearby affiliates or other units based on skills and census needs. - Two professional references are required: one from the most recent employer (within 1 year) and another completed within 2 years of start date. **Additional Preferred Qualifications:** - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses), and related certifications are preferred for some skills.
