**Requirements and Qualifications for Registered Nurse PCU/MI Position:** - **Years of Experience Required:** Minimum of 1 year experience (MSI). - **Certifications Required:** Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). - **Skills Required:** - Telemetry (including on-unit monitoring). - Titrating Cardiac drips. - **Preferred Experience:** Experience with the Epic Charting System. - **Patient Ratio Experience:** 1:5 - **Skills Specifics:** - Accessing and managing ports. - Blood product administration. - Central line care/management. - Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI). - Feeding tube care and management. - Heparin protocols. - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Isolation precautions/PPE. - Management of pacemakers (temporary/permanent). - Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA). - PICC line management. - Renal failure management. - Starting and maintaining IVs. - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams. - Wound care/Wound Vac. **Additional Details:** - **Charting System:** Experience with Epic is preferred. - **Compliance:** Modules are required before start, including EPIC training module (test-out option available). **Location and Floating Requirements:** - Candidates must be willing to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed. - Travelers must possess Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license at time of submission, with a home address at least 75 miles from the facility. **Special Requirements:** - Experience managing post-cath patients is required. **Vaccine Requirements:** - COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but a flu vaccine is mandatory with only medical/religious exemptions considered.
