**Position / Specialty: NICU RN** - **Years of Experience Required**: 2 years in a Level 4 NICU required - **Certifications Required**: BCLS, NRP - **Licensure**: Pending license accepted - **Skills Required**: - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - High Frequency Ventilation - IV vasopressors - NICU III - NICU IV* - PICU* - Respiratory distress syndrome - Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) **Additional Requirements:** - **Flu Vaccine**: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) - **Patient Diagnoses**: - Neonate 32 weeks - Full Term Newborn - **Special Procedures/Unit Details**: - Experience with Level 4 NICU acuity - Must be proficient with IV vasopressors, High Frequency Ventilation, High Flow NC, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Ventilator management - Mixed acuity unit; must float to Pediatric ICU **Requirements for Facility & Staffing:** - **Charting System**: Cerner - **Scrub Color**: Black - **Experience in Specific Trauma Levels**: Not specified - **Travel Experience**: Not required unless for ER - **Local Candidate Restrictions**: No locals within 100 miles - **Scheduled shifts and Hours**: - 12-hour shifts - 36 hours per week guaranteed - 12 weekend shifts per contract - **Orientation Hours**: 12 - **RTO Restrictions**: Greater than 7 days needs approval, no RTO during first 7 days of contract or last day of contract - **Module Training**: Billable up to 4 hours, additional time non-billable **Other Details:** - A 6-month break is required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments - Former staff require a 12-month separation - OT is to be approved by the client before being worked - **Screening Note**: Must meet all requirements, especially 2 years NICU level III experience required - **Special Equipment Endorsement**: High Frequency Ventilation, Conventional, Oscillating, and High Frequency Jet Ventilation Required **Exemptions & Governance**: - COVID vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions permitted - After 10/30/2025, the OT is after 48 hours on any signed contract This summarizes the key qualifications and requirements for the NICU RN position, focusing specifically on the experience, certifications, skills, and additional criteria critical for eligibility.
