**Required Experience and Qualifications:** - Years of experience: 2 years - First-timers accepted: Yes - Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period - Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification) - Skills Required: - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP) - Epicardial Pacing Wire Care and Management - Post Cardiac Surgery (not directly from the OR) - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention - Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring - Sheath Removal - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Valve Repair/Replacement - IV insulin protocols - Liver failure - Acute Kidney Injury - Chronic/Acute Renal failure - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management - Urine output assessment - Accessing/Managing Ports - Arterial line management - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Continuous IV sedation - Emergency Medications - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Titrate Cardiac drips - Titrate Vasoactive drips - Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal - BiPAP/CPAP management - Care of Ventilated Patients - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) - Pulmonary edema - Respiratory failure - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Ventilator Management - Activated Clotting Time (ACT) - Infection Prevention - INR, Isolation Precautions/PPE, PT/PTT - Recognition of infection in immunosuppressed patients **Preferred Experience and Qualifications:** - Previous Charge Experience: Not specified - Trauma Level I Experience Required **Clinical Experience:** - Post Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients - Post heart and liver transplant - ECMO support - VV and VA - 6 bed CVPACU with recovery happening M-F day shift as part of the unit workflow **Special Requirements:** - ECMO, Impella, IABP, LVAD initial insertion, CRRT - Recover TEE/cardioversion - Central line placements for temporary line needs **Licensure and Submission Requirements:** - Pending License accepted: No - Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius: No - Charting System Experience Required: EPIC - Required to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed **Compliance and Additional Training:** - COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required - Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only - Compliance Deadline: Documents due 2 Fridays before the start date - Pre-start and other modules to be completed as directed > Note: This is a condensed listing based on the provided job description.
