This assignment lasts 13.14 WEEKS and is scheduled to start on September 21, 2026.

**Years of Experience:** - Required: 2 years **First-timers:** - Accepted: Yes **Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) **Skills Required:** - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP) - Epicardial Pacing Wire Care and Management - Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR) - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention - Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring - Sheath Removal - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Valve Repair/Replacement - IV insulin protocols - Liver failure - Acute Kidney Injury - Chronic/Acute Renal failure - Intake and Output monitoring - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management - Shunts/Fistula Care - Urine output assessment - Accessing/Managing Ports - Arterial line management - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Continuous IV sedation - Emergency Medications - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Titrate Cardiac drips - Titrate Vasoactive drips - Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal - BiPAP/CPAP management - Care of Ventilated Patient - Fresh tracheostomy - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) - Pulmonary edema - Respiratory failure - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Ventilator Management - Activated Clotting Time (ACT) - Fibrinogen - Infection Prevention - INR - Isolation Precautions/PPE - Management of high-output drains - PT/PTT - Recognition of infection in immunosuppressed patients **Charting System:** - EPIC **Special Requirements:** - Post Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients - Post heart and liver transplant - ECMO support - VV and VA - 6 bed CVPACU with recovery happening M-F day shift as part of the unit workflow - 6 bed CVPACU that recovers vascular, structural procedures (TAVR, Mitral clip, watchman) - Recover TEE/cardioversion - Central line placements for temp line needs - ECMO - Impella - IABP - LVAD initial insertion - CRRT **Licensure:** - No pending license accepted **Floating:** - Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed. **Weekend Requirement:** - 8 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule period - combination of F/S/S
