Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Hickory, North Carolina (28601) – North Carolina healthcare jobs
Facility Setting: Telemetry Unit (24 beds)
Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
Start Date: December 8, 2025
End Date: March 9, 2026
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Dress Code: Any color scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Associate degree in Nursing or higher
Clinical experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
Preferred: Familiarity with Cerner EHR system
Ability to work every other weekend
Must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC for travel nurse eligibility

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients (chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre/post cardiac catheterization)
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using advanced telemetry equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Accurately document care and patient progress in electronic health records (Cerner preferred)
Float to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units as needed
Maintain a compassionate, supportive environment for patients and families
