Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (02601) – Cape Cod
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: December 29, 2025
- End Date: March 28, 2026
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital Labor & Delivery Unit
- Schedule: 36 hours/week, rotating (3) 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:30 am, unpaid lunch)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Shift: Nights, every other weekend, rotating holidays
- Employment Type: Travel nursing job
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Proof of Fetal Monitor Course (Intermediate or Advanced) within last 2 years
- Successful completion of facility Pharmacology exam
- Recent OB nursing experience (within past 2 years)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention) certification preferred
- Strong English communication skills
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience
L&D RN Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Guide and direct patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Conduct comprehensive assessments throughout hospital admission
- Communicate care plans to allied healthcare providers
- Serve as charge nurse and resource for staff as needed
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Follow safety and infection control policies
- Maintain professional development and current nursing knowledge
- Represent the hospital positively in the community and uphold patient confidentiality
- Deliver service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
