Med/Surg RN Job Details

Location: Goodyear, AZ 85395 (Arizona nursing jobs)
Assignment Type: Travel RN
Unit: Med/Surg 231
Start Date: 12/15/2025 (ASAP, start any Monday)
Assignment Length: 8-13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Positions Available: 5 Med/Surg RN jobs
Charting System: Cerner EMR
Scrub Color: Navy blue
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1280 - $1370

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact nursing license accepted
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Ability to float to ED holds and similar level of care units
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diagnoses including post-procedure, stent placement, sepsis, respiratory failure, COVID-19, and renal failure
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 (telemetry) and 1:5 (Med/Surg)
Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic medical records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Float to other units and support clinical teams as needed
