- Facility: Level I Trauma Center & Magnet Hospital
- Setting: Outpatient Clinic – Adult Sickle Cell Unit
- Assignment Type: Travel RN, 13-week contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Shifts: Alternating 4x9hr (Mon-Thurs 7:30am-5pm, Fri 8am-12pm) and 4x10hr (Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm)
- Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed hours; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1580 - $1700
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license (must be active prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Outpatient clinic nursing experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Ability to complete pre-start compliance and orientation modules
RN Responsibilities – Adult Sickle Cell Clinic
- Deliver compassionate nursing care to adult patients with sickle cell disease and chronic conditions (CKD, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease)
- Manage acute sickle cell crises, including IV fluid administration, pain management, and blood transfusions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV team, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EHR
- Participate in self-scheduling and maintain a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Operate clinical equipment such as Dynamap, Alaris IV pumps, and EKG machines
- Follow all facility policies, including emergency protocols during hurricane season (June-November)
