Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour nights (7 PM - 7 AM)

Job Description

Position: Resource Pool RN
Must be comfortable working in all Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical Surgical (MS) units.
Staffing office reviews needs of the full hospital every 4 hours; Resource Pool nurses may be floated to another unit as needed.

Patient Ratios

PCU: 5:1
MS: 6/7:1

Required Certifications

BLS: Basic Life Support
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience

Additional Information

All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with the application.
Various documentation and certifications are required, including:
- I-9 or attestation
- Drivers License/State ID (required within 48 hours of signing)
- E-Verify or attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if applicable)
- Additional certifications as applicable by unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC)
- HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgment
- State License Verification
- NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
- TB Questionnaire and testing
- Background Check (7 years)
- Clinical references (2 required)

Health Documents

Physical Exam (within 1 year)
Fit Mask (within 1 year, updated annually)
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
Vaccination records (e.g., Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
Drug Testing (negative within 30 days)

Compliance and Orientation

Pre-Start Education Modules required for inpatient RN candidates.
Professional photo for badge required.
New Hire Paperwork must be completed prior to start.
