Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details

- Every other weekend required
- Float required
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Previous travel experience preferred (not strictly required)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Oklahoma
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at time of submission
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required at time of submission
Required Qualifications & Compliance
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Must have a valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required
- Education verification required (highest level of education)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start date (annual renewal required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start date
- Required immunizations/vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (during flu season)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start date
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (online acceptable)
- Competency exams as applicable to profession (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
- Annual unit-specific skills checklist
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be able to float to other units as needed
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
- Fingerprinting required for New Mexico placements only (not applicable here)
This position is ideal for a Medical Surgical RN with at least 1 year of experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in Tulsa, OK, who is flexible with weekend shifts and floating duties.
