Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Multimodality Tech (CT/X-Ray)
- May include additional duties to assist with operations within the Emergency Department/Urgent Care.
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Weekend work required (schedule TBD)
- No on-call required
- No floating between units or facilities
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including CT experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
- SCRQSA (CT) certification
Facility & Work Environment
- Acute Care Hospital setting
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking: Free with pass provided at start
- Scrub colors: Black and Teal
- Hurricane season (June-November) may require emergency response team participation
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Completed and accurate I-9 form confirming work eligibility in the US
- Copy of Driver’s License/State ID
- Copy of Social Security Card or SSN verification
- Background check within 90 days of start, including multiple state and national searches
- Education verification or diploma/transcripts as placeholder
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually, confirming ability to meet job demands without restrictions
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titers or vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer or vaccines)
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug-April)
- COVID vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- Respirator medical clearance annually (RespSafety questionnaire)
- Radiation exposure attestation required prior to start
Orientation & Onboarding
- Facility-specific first day instructions and mandatory online modules must be completed prior to start
- Passport-style photo required for badge (frontal view, solid light background)
- Job description and confidentiality/security agreements must be completed before starting
- Physical assessment required for sterile processing techs (if applicable)
- NetID form (time sensitive) must be completed promptly to avoid delays
Additional Notes
- Locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Medication and competency exams required as applicable
- Work history verification of last 3 clinical employers required
- All certifications must be valid beyond 30 days from start date; renewals required if expiring sooner
This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, appropriate certifications, and licensure in South Carolina, seeking a travel contract with night shifts in an acute care setting.
