Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
  • Beds: 12 L&D, 8 triage, 11 antepartum
  • Staff: 72 total
  • Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 tech
  • Patient Ratios:
    • L&D: 1 RN to 2 patients
    • Triage: 1 RN to 3-4 patients
    • Antepartum: 1 RN to 4 patients
  • Equipment: Centricity, GE monitors
  • EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures

  • Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
  • Dilation & curettage (D&C)
  • Hysterectomy
  • Postpartum tubal ligation
  • Cerclage placement
  • External cephalic version
  • Care of high-risk obstetrics patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting
  • Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
  • Experience with Meditech EMR
