Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Respiratory NICU/PICU
- Setting: Acute care hospital, Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Equipment used: High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, regular nebulizers
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: May provide coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.
Job Description
- Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases
- Utilize advanced technologies and medication delivery
- Work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environment
- Team player with critical thinking and patient care focus required
- Dress code: Light Gray (Silver) uniform
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS
- NBRC
- NRP
- PALS
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
Additional Information
- Unit staffing includes Director, Manager, Supervisor/Charge Therapist per shift, and regular staff
- The role may require adaptability to change and coverage flexibility
- The facility is a tertiary care and teaching hospital with multiple specialty designations
