RN - PICU Travel Opportunity

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Level II Trauma Center
15 beds, staffed by approximately 38 team members
Day shift includes Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, Case Management
Night shift includes Intensivist, RN, RT
Patient ratio: 2:1
Equipment: General Cardiac Rhythm (CR) Monitoring
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN
Teaching hospital environment

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience within the last year
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in an acute care hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Pediatric hematology/oncology nursing (APHON) experience
Prior experience in a pediatric teaching hospital

Typical Procedures

IV starts and blood draws
Tracheostomy (TPT) placements

Work Environment & Culture

Works well under pressure
Patient care experience is a priority
Supportive teaching hospital setting

This position is a travel assignment in a competitive market, offering exposure to advanced pediatric critical care in a Level II trauma center.
